Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide web-based reporting support and data analysis for the Quality Assurance team within the Humanitarian Services Operations department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to support Red Cross mission
  • Assist with various projects for the configuration and automation of data for web-based reporting. Create or run reports using WebI or other enterprise tools related to organizational performance monitoring.
  • Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the FOCIS (Field Operations Consolidated Information System) reporting website and supporting documents
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative data aggregation, analysis and reporting to support various Humanitarian Services Operations activities, such as development of staffing models, business case development, performance analysis, organizational analysis, and benchmarking. Includes collection and consolidation of data from multiple sources.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Junior or Senior or post graduate working towards a degree in Business Management, Information Technology or other related major, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in data management and analysis using one or more of the following: Business Objects WebI report writing, Excel modeling, Visual Basic or other scripting, Access tables, queries and reports development.
  • Microsoft Excel - advanced level with a working knowledge of data manipulation functions and complex formulas
  • Design skills (graphs, charts, Power Point, Business objects reports, Visio)
  • Familiarity with Web Content Management Systems, such as HTML, Microsoft.net a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and GIS and demographic data sets and mapping tools and SharePoint/InfoPath forms development a plus.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and organized, and have strong analytical skills. 

Relationships:
Will work primarily with the Data Quality Assurance team within the Humanitarian Services Operations department at the American Red Cross.

Time Commitment:
At least 12 hours per week, flexible hours

The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
