The Donor Recruitment Intern will be able to learn the processes that are involved with coordinating blood drives with external businesses and groups. Behind the scenes, some projects will include generating marketing and promotional packets for blood drive sponsor groups and assisting with research of potential sponsor groups. This person will also assist with recruiting blood donors at specific blood drives and will shadow Donor Recruitment Representatives while they conduct sales calls and blood drive planning meetings with existing sponsor groups.
Qualifications:Undergraduate syudent majoring in Business, Marketing or Communications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
