Major Projects:
- Respond to assigned requests with accurate information
- Draft news releases and other written public relations documents such as talking points, Public Service Announcements and stories of clients and or event honorees
- Update media contact lists as needed
- Act as a Red Cross media spokesperson, as directed by Region's Communications/External Relations Director
- Support the development of promotional items (such as newsletters, powerpoint presentations, etc), along with content for chapter website
- Assist with the development of Region's communication calendar to reflect Media PSA air times.
- Capture, edit and deliver photos and videos for Red Cross NH.
- Maintain fire response database for grant proposal initiatives.
- Assist Communications/External Relations with scheduling of appointments and key messaging for area media.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Junior or Senior, 2 nd year Masters Level
- Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Communications major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher.

Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
