The intern will be supporting communications and public affairs duties in the chapter. This includes media contact updates, press clipping management, the opportunity to engage in public affairs training, helping with newsletters and communication pieces, information gathering, updating presentations and any other public affairs/communications duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Undergraduate student with a background or major in Communications. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Description
The national headquarters of the American Red Cross provides assistance with shaping and leading the organization in our mission and strategic plan. National Headquarters also assists with technical guidance to the many Red Cross units, such as Chapters, Armed Forces Emergency Services Stations and Blood Services regions. These units are responsible for the direct service to the community including disaster response and preparedness, messaging to Armed Forces military and their families, collecting and delivering blood products, teaching health and safety skills and helping reunite families through our international services.
