Grace Hospice proudly introduces The Veteran to Veteran Volunteer Program. We carefully match Veteran Volunteers with Veteran hospice patients. Your service background offers a unique opportunity to connect by sharing military experiences with empathy, sympathy and the preservation of dignity at the end of life. Veteran to Veteran Volunteer Program training is one on one with Volunteer Coordinator.

Grace Hospice is now a "We Honor Veterans" level 2 member!

We need volunteers for:

  • Friendly visits
  • Phone calls
  • Running errands
  • Caregiver Respite visits and more!

Description

Grace Hospice cares for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose to not seek aggressive medical care at the end stage of life. Hospice focuses on comfort care rather than curative care. The goal of hospice is for patients to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. Care can also be provided in a long-term care facility or an assisted living facility.
