Spotlight Senior Services is putting on a SPECTACULAR event at The Orleans (4500 W. Tropicana) on Saturday, March 14th. Volunteers are needed the evening prior (3/13) to stuff gift bags for attendees and on the day of the event to help with final set up and guest and vendor relations. Friday 3/13/15: Volunteers needed from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Families welcome to bring children 6 and above to assist on Friday. Saturday 3/14/15: Volunteers needed from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and also 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. The Spectacular event showcases health and lifestyle resources available to Vegas citizens age 50 and over and includes live entertainment from some popular local Vegas performers. This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals as well as for families and social, civic and church groups. Come lend a hand while enjoying this great event! Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.
Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being
All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!
