After School Matters is looking for a couple of friendly volunteers to help out at this year's Derby Day at our Retail Store!

Tell me more about the After School Matters Retail Store. Our store, located in downtown Chicago, sells artwork and other products made by the teens in our after school programs. All proceeds from the store go back into after school programs, allowing another group of teens the opportunity to show-off their talent and hard work.

What would I be helping with? You would be assisting the Retail and Events Team with event set-up, checking-in guests, taking raffle tickets and wrapping purchases.

When is the event? April 24, 2014. You would volunteer from 4pm-8pm.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to assist with lifting and moving in-store displays.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with multiple customers.
