Learn about issues involving immigrants and refugees through communication, marketing and public relations at a busy non-profit organization providing legal and social services and advocacy.
Communications:
Expand online presence by creating compelling, regularly scheduled content such as news items, e-newsletter and social media
Assist in collection and writing of client stories
Follow up with volunteer submissions on hiaspa.org site
Event Planning:
Provide administrative support by assisting in mass mailings, following up with sponsorship prospects and Board members, etc
Assist Silent Auction Chair in solicitation, tracking and promotion of items
Help ensure consistent, complete tracking and thanking of incoming gifts/sponsorships
Assist with coordination of regularly-scheduled Young Friends Happy Hours and outreach to potential YF partners
Public Relations:
Assist in media outreach including sending press release and calendar events
Create press packet for upcoming events
Requirements:
Excellent writing skills, detail oriented, own laptop and ability to work in a small and crowded work environment.
