Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Development Manager, the intern will obtain firsthand experience and training in the following areas:

  • Experience National Kidney Foundation various fundraising events with hands on experience in all stages of the planning and implementation process.
  • Experience the phases of the Silent Auction process by researching connections and auction items.
  • Experience all aspects of communications and marketing with constituents, patients, donors, and sponsors.
  • Experience the Solicitation of in-kind support and donation process.
  • Social Media through Facebook and Twitter.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pursuing BS/BA or Masters Degree.
  • Pursuing a career in related field and/or within nonprofit.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable talking with and interacting with others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have own transportation.
