We simply go to seniors in the neighborhood, and provide them with food, help them clean their apartments or homes, read to them, go to the neighborhood church with them, and take them grocery shopping as a field trip. We also have a session twice a month, teaching them nutrition and health, preparing healthy foods, and informing them of supplements and minerals.
We need community outreach and transportation services to identify and serve the seniors in need in the Liberty City, Overtown, and Little Haiti areas. We inform them of health coverage options as well.
