We are looking for a volunteer who has experience in medical records! This volunteer should have a great attention to detail, be reliable and flexible. They would assure that completed records meet all regulatory and compliance standards under the supervision and support of our Medical Records Clerk.
Responsbilities include:
* Analyzing the chart for missing documents or signature
* Reviewing medical records in accordance with written criteria
* Purging medical records once the case is closed, organizing records and sending for archiving
* Copying medical information as needed
* other duties assigned by Medical Records Clerk
Volunteer must complete brief interview to discuss skill set and experience, criminal background check, reference check, application and orientation with Volunteer Manager which includes HIPAA and OSHA annual training.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in the office, using their cars and from their own homes.
