We are looking for bright and motivated people to come help make a difference in a teens life. As a mentor and tutor for out teen center, volunteers will work one on one with teens to stimulate their creativity, develop social skills, and inspire goals. The volunteer will assist our teen center coordinator with activities, event planning, chaporoening, and tutoring for grades 6 to 12.

The mission of the Davenport Resource Service Center is to build a strong and integrated community on Santa Cruz County's rural North Coast. The Center serves as an advocate and resource for the area's culturally diverse and low-income population. Through emergency and prevention services, the Center attempts to strengthen the capacity of North Coast residents of all ages to find support in, contribute to, and thrive in their community.

Description

The Davenport Resource Service Center is commited to serving the north coast of Santa Cruz County as the only community center for the rural area. The center serves the community through a series of programs; our trice monthly food distribution program in cooperation with the second harvest food bank, farm outreach ro distribute food and information to the farm workers and their families in the area, health clinics with the cooperation of dignity health and community bridges, after school tutoring for the Pacific School Elementary, tutoring and mentoring for teens at the North Coast Teen Center, senior and veteran services and referals, and also cultural and community events hosted throughout the year.
