(ACInj214) Keep your neighbors worry-free of being stranded during snow storms. As a Snowcrew volunteer, you will be matched to elderly, disabled or sick neighbors who need help with shoveling after snow storms--and you know how often we've been getting those! Turn fear and anxiety of being homebound to joy and gratitude of neighborly support and a more resilient community. Technology is used to allow multiple neighbors to engage each other online to get shoveled out. Volunteers must sign up on Snowcrew website and have their own equipment for snow removal. Description
VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
