The Resource Recovery and Recycling Division is hosting a special event to encourage community members to bring slightly broken items that need some attention rather than throwing those items away and purchasing replacements. Through this event at 1450 Ocean Avenue, we hope to increase awareness about waste in our everyday lives as well as strengthen community connections. We are looking for skilled individuals interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise with their community. If you enjoy volunteering and jewelry repair, sewing, electrical work, computers, knife sharpening or even furniture repair, this event is for you. Let’s not forget those talented enough to fix a bad haircut! Spend some time helping your neighbors!
