Thursday Tuck-In volunteers call hospice patients on Thursday afternoons to make sure the patients have everything they need for the weekend. Volunteers call a list of patients asking them if they need any medications refilled, need any supplies, are they having any difficulties with their medical equipment or have any other concerns they would like addressed before the coming weekend. Our goal is to have basic patient needs met before the weekend in order to prevent unnecessary visits by our on-call team. Many of our patients and caragivers look forward to their weekly Thursday Tuck-In call and have built wonderful relationships with our volunteers. Calls are made in the Kindred Office.

Through our extensive network of affiliates, including Gentiva Health Services, our experienced nurses, therapists and aides focus on each unique patient to deliver the appropriate care and emotional support to our patients and their families.
