Abode Services is seeking a registered nurse to spend 90 minutes - 2 hours one Thursday evening a month with new residents at Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter in Fremont. Sunrise Village provides shelter and services to homeless single adults and families with children, serving approximately 300 adults and children each year. The volunteer's duties will include working with the team of registered nurses to read TB skin tests, check for head lice, and record brief medical histories. A current California RN license and negative TB test required. This is a great opportunity for a skilled professional to help children and adults who are homeless and in crisis access health care.
