Jefferson Symphony Orchestra, voted Westword's "Best Community Orchestra" in 2012 is seeking an accountant with financial leadership experience and an appreciation for classical music.
We seek a person to serve as Board Treasurer on our Board of Directors. If you are an accountant or equivalent with financial leadership experience in the private or non-profit sector and have 10-15 hours a month to give of your time and expertise, please contact us. All reporting can be done virtually, though monthly board meeting attendance in Wheat Ridge is necessary, We seek candidates who live in the Denver Metro area. The board meets the 3rd Monday of every month at 5:30-7pm at Wheat Ridge United Methodist Church

Description
For sixty-nine years, the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra has been making music that thousands of people in and around Jefferson County have enjoyed. We are a community orchestra comprising more than eighty volunteer musicians.
Many individuals and businesses have supported the symphony because of what it has meant to them and their employees, namely, a great artistic resource. In the same way that good music adds a new dimension of awareness and pleasure to an individual, the symphony has brought a new dimension to the quality of life in Jefferson County.
