This is for volunteers AGE 55 OR OVER
Help make it possible to provide nutritious meals to seniors in our community in a warm inviting atmosphere.
We need volunteers, age 55 and over, to help a local Senior Activity Center in NE Portland provide congregate lunches -- giving seniors the opportunity to come together to enjoy a healthy meal.

Help is needed as:
KITCHEN WORKER:
help prepare salads and baked good and provide cleanup after cooking.
Needed: THURSDAYS 9 -- noon
DINING ROOM VOLUNTEER:
set up for lunch, serve people in line, provide coffee, and clean up dining room after the meal.
Needed: WEEKDAYS 11:00 am -- 1:30 pm
DISHWASHER:Operate commercial dishwasher, hand wash pots and pans.
Needed: WEEKDAYS 11:00 am -- 1:30 pm

Description
Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
