Make a difference in the lives of homeless people on the streets right now!!

The BOSS* Benefits & Entitlements Specialist Team (BEST) is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. This team does street outreach to connect with homeless individuals on the streets and help them apply for benefits and begin accessing services.

We are looking for volunteers to help with:

- Sending outreach letters
- Gathering documentation
- Filing and clerical support to staff

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to being with us for a while.

Hours are flexible - BEST is open weekdays between 9:30 am-5:30 pm.

The location is the BEST office at 2811 Adeline St. in Oakland.

BEST is on the front lines of helping the most vulnerable segment of homeless individuals - people who are out on the streets, with no income, and who have not yet engaged with ongoing services.

Help change lives ~ These are some of our most vulnerable community members!!

*BOSS (Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency, www.self-sufficiency.org) has provided housing and support services to homeless, poor and disabled people since 1971.
