Event: The Fifth Annual Sugar & Stilettos Bake Sale Extravaganza for Charity benefitting the Westside Food Bank and St. Joseph Center's Food Pantry Program/May 9, 2015, 11am-3pm. Sugar & Stilettos is a grass roots organization committed to raising awareness and funds for community service programs dedicated to ending hunger and food insecurity in our own neighborhood and nationally. Since beginning in 2011 we have raised over $60,000.00. Our Mr. Sugar & Stilettos Crowning Ceremony is a highlight of the day! Time Commitment: January thru March - 2-5 hours a week April-May - 5-7 hours a week Work day before event 10am-4pm on May 8 th (packaging and pickups) Work event 9-5pm on May 9th (for set up and break down) Responsibilities: Work closely with Creator/Founder, Nanci Christopher in planning and executing event Manage Social Media outlets on a daily basis (FB, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest) Create and maintain email list of sponsors, donors & volunteers Monthly email blast with latest S & S event news Assist in PR (Mommy Blogs, Print stories) and promotional efforts with Nanci and her PR person Assist in acquiring donations (from vendors, shops, restaurants, etc.) and coordinating event and homemade baking volunteers Follow-up help with personalized thank you notes/packages to all donors and volunteers after the event Qualifications: Outgoing and enthusiastic personality Proficiency in Social Media platforms Excellent communication skills: solid grammar, good telephone manner, ability to convey message clearly Creative, ability to think outside the box Capable of working independently as well as with others Research and analytical skills Must own laptop and car to run errands when needed (gas money will be provided) Perfect opportunity for anyone with a social conscious, generous heart and/or a need to build their resume...not to mention that there will be endless opportunities to have a BLAST...check out our website (video, photos, our A-List donors) and see for yourself all the FUN we have!
