Help the US Forest Service & Go Mt. Charleston by picking up litter around the popular Lee Meadows in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (Mt. Charleston area). Your efforts will help improve habitat and improve a popular recreation area. We will be picking up litter on Saturday, February 21 from 9am to Noon. Litter pick up supplies will be provided. Bring water, snacks, jackets and clothes you don't mind working in! Groups are encouraged to participate. Description
The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, also known as Mt. Charleston, offers opportunities for year-round fun including hiking, camping, and picnicking, as well as snow-based activities in the winter. When you visit, join an interpretive hike with a naturalist to learn about the plants and animals unique to the Spring Mountains, attend a campfire program to learn how the mountains were formed, or trek through the snow on a guided snowshoe hike.
