Join in the behind-the scenes fun and help out with events at the Museum. Opportunities include directing visitors as they enter a special event/program, signing up new members and volunteers at museum events, community fairs and farmer's markets, conducting visitor surveys, assisting with event set up and providing clerical support such as tracking brochure supplies and volunteer hours.

Description
The California Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone with an interest in California history, art and culture available throughout the week in flexible 2 hour intervals. Volunteers are instrumental in making the Museum experience memorable for over 125,000 visitors each year, in positions ranging from gallery guides, special events, and more. Benefits include free a Museum membership after 40 hours of volunteer service, a discount in Museum Store, free event attendance and the opportunity to help the Museum meet its mission to educate, enlighten and inspire visitors with California history, arts and culture.
