Do you enjoy teaching and helping people learn and grow? We need a volunteer to help individuals in treatment for mental health issues increase their literacy skills in preparation to take the GED. Help adult learners gain confidence and improve their skills in order to achieve goals like getting a better job or qualifying for future training and educational opportunities. This volunteer would work with the individual(s) for 1-2 hours per week in Springfield. There is some flexibility for the specific day, but would be between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. Help change a person's life!
The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) envisions that everyone in our community has the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life. The Fairfax-Falls Church CSB’s mission is to provide and coordinate a system of community-based supports for individuals and families of Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church who are affected by developmental delay, intellectual disability, serious emotional disturbance (youth), mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
