You have the opportunity to make a difference in your community and someone’s life by becoming a volunteer driver for the My Rides Program! There are times in a person’s life where finding transportation can be a struggle.

Seniors, individuals with disabilities, or families with young children (0-5) who are unable to drive or do not have the means to drive can be vulnerable to circumstances that prevent them from getting to medical services and other places that support their quality of life.

The MyRides program works by coordinating a network of volunteer drivers who take eligible residents to nonemergency and essential needs appointments. The schedule for these volunteer drivers is very flexible. We always give our drivers plenty of notice about upcoming rides, and always notify our drivers at least a day in advance.

Volunteers can list the days and times they are available and we will only schedule them during those designated time periods. Gas and mileage reimbursement available. For more information visit our website, myridesplacer.org or call us at 1.800.878.9222, ext. 201.
