Girl Scouts Series Pathway Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey is recruiting enthusiastic volunteers who want to share their skills or hobby with girls with a series program. The Series Pathway offers activities for the same group of participating girls, scheduled over six to eight weeks, relating to a specific theme or purpose. Series are developed with the intent that each registered participant attend all sessions scheduled throughout the course of the offering, because sessions are designed so that each day builds towards the next and culminates upon the delivery of the last session activity. Love dance? Chess? The environment? Lots of other girls do, too. Why not explore your interests together in a way that fits your schedule? (Short-term). Series are so fun because you can choose the topics that interest you. Series are thematic in nature and developed to support the council's program initiatives in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), healthy living, financial literacy, environmental awareness, as well as Girl Scout signature programs.

Mission Statement
Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
Description
Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey (GSHNJ) believes in the power of every girl. Our leadership program is designed to help a girl discover who she is, what she can do, and connects her with a powerful community of girls and mentors to make it happen. With unique opportunities, Girl Scouts explore, learn, succeed and take action to make a difference in their community.
Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey serves 18,000 girls and 8,000 adults throughout Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Somerset, Union, southern Warren, and parts of Middlesex counties. Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 regardless of race, creed, nationality or socio-economic status.
At Girl Scouts, we strive to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is a very rewarding experience. You get to help provide unforgettable and life-changing experiences to girls while teaching them a variety of life skills that will help them be successful in the future. You’re a role model, leader, friend, mentor, and teacher all in one. We couldn’t do any of that if it wasn’t for our hard-working volunteers. That means YOU!
