Mission Statement

Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. We offer girls the tools they need to be successful, now and throughout their lives. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop strong values and improve society.

Description

Explore what being a volunteer could mean for you. Whatever you choose, you'll be making a lasting impact on the lives of girls. We'll give you the information and support you need. And you'll have lots of fun doing it.

Participate with girls directly

  • Troop Leader: volunteer-led troops allow girls to build lifelong friendships unlike any others. Troop leaders have the incredibly meaningful opportunity to facilitate a troop experience that will change girls’ lives.
  • Community Troop volunteer: If you happen to live in an area where we do not have enough volunteers to run a troop, work with trained and caring staff to bring Girl Scout fun directly to your local school or community center.

Get involved "behind the scenes"

  • Administrative volunteer: Manage, support and recognize volunteers in your community.
  • Council Committee volunteer: Assist in council-wide Girl Scout operations.
  • Learning Facilitator: Coordinate learning opportunities.
