Summer Positions Needed:
Volunteer Docent/Tour Guide - Lead tours of the historic house and grounds. Learn about the history of the Davis family, 19 th century agricultural life, as well as teaching techniques for informal education. A short training program is required. Must be 18 years or older.
VolunteerFront Desk Assistant - Front Desk assistants will staff the front desk in the visitor center to greet guests, sell admissions, answer phones, lead visitors to the museum and work the register for the gift shop. A short training program is required. Must be 18 years or older.
Availability Needs:
Schedules will be determined on volunteer availability.
June 2, 2014 through August 29, 2014
Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m and/or 1:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m
(Either 4 Hour Shifts or All Day)

There are always opportunities for volunteers to help out at the Sam Davis Home! From helping answer phones, helping school groups to dressing up in antebellum clothing at a large event - we have something for everyone! If you are interested in volunteering for any of our events or if you would like to be added to our volunteer list to receive phone calls or emails whenever a volunteer opportunity is available, please email education@samdavishome.org or call (615) 459-2341.
