  • film the game (camera provided)
  • take tickets at the door

Please contact Julie at 434-239-TEAM (8326) or email julie.chipman @teamgenesis.org. Of course, all volunteers will receive free admission to these exciting games!

  • To teach the art of basketball and other sports with the purpose of maximizing the athletic potential of participants in the area of their careers, academic aspirations, and the attainment of their personal goals.
  • To network and partner with other athletic organizations on a local, regional, national, and international level and with professional, collegiate, and amateur level athletes for the athletic development of promising athletes.

Description

Team Genesis is a program that was founded by Ms. Elaine Jones for the purpose of cultivating the athletic potential of gifted basketball players who aspire to continue in the sport on a collegiate and professional level. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Jones has helped over one hundred students receive basketball scholarships to colleges across the US and has served as the catalyst that has jumpstarted 3 NBA careers. Today, Mr. Tunde "Harry" Williams, Jr., continues this proud legacy by expanding on the core methods of mentoring athletes, which have proven to be highly effective in the development of athleticism, academic success, and the overall attainment of personal goals. Team Genesis International, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is an international organization that shares that same mission and purpose of the program model created by Ms. Jones. The athletic programs offered by Team Genesis International have helped provide young men in high school with the opportunity to sharpen their athletic skills and become well-rounded, highly disciplined, achievers who not only benefit from maintaining a positive focus, but become valued contributors to their community. Team Genesis International is now developing the following programmatic areas in order to make a more broad based impact: an AAU High School Basketball , educational support programs , programs targeting gifted athletes , skills development camps, and the " Opportunity League " for home-school students and students attending private schools that do not offer sports programs.
