Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg brings people together to build homes and hope in the communities of Hampton, James City County, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg and York County.

There's always room for volunteers at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore! We are looking for motivated individuals to aid in the following areas:

  • Sorting through inventory and categorizing items to go out on the store floor
  • Cleaning and testing donation items
  • Assisting in receiving new shipments of donations
  • Assist customers on our cash register
  • Assisting customers with questions and providing a welcoming environment at the ReStore
  • Loading and unloading the truck as new items come in

Everyday is different at the ReStore, but one thing stays the same - we need volunteers like you! Hope to see you soon!

Monday -Saturday

Description

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The goal of the ReStore is to generate enough profits to build more Habitat homes for qualified, hardworking low- to moderate-income families, as well as to promote recycling. ​100% of the profits from the ReStores are used to build and sell affordable housing!
