Volunteering is a wonderful way to give back to the community. We are looking ideally for someone who would like to use their skills and their time to benefit our organization, which has existed for over 50 years and supports over 200 people every day.
Purpose: We are looking to incorporate 5-6 members onto an event planning committee. This is a great opportunity for someone that has event planning skills (but not necessary), is organized, is connected to the community, and is creative.
Start Date: September, 2014
Time Commitment: Monthly meetings until post event for 2/3 hours (April 24), as well as efforts each week based on committee needs, such as gathering silent auction letters. Ideally, this would be a volunteer that is willing to work year round on other events, or at least commit to 2 years with the large gala. Ideally, this person would also be available to (either) volunteer during the event, or attend the event as a ticketed Guest.
Training: No training necessary; interview required. Experience with event planning a plus but not necessary.
