Do you speak Spanish and English?

Do you care about keeping families strong and helping parents to do their best for their kids?

Do you feel comfortable speaking in front of a group and facilitating meaningful conversation?

Do you consider yourself a role-model or someone who has overcome many parenting obstacles and could help others do the same?

If so - Children's Home Aid's Parents Care Share program needs you!

A Parents Care Share group gives parents a place to take a break from the hard job of parenting, to feel safe to talk about painful issues, to laugh over mistakes, and to learn from--and give support to--others. Being part of a group is one way to relieve stress. Parents Care Share provides ideas, networking, and chances to learn, listen, and encourage each-other for parents who are dealing with the every day struggles of raising their children. Groups provide a free meal and free child care in order to help parents feel comfortable getting the support they need.

Children's Home Aid's Parents Care Share program has groups throughout the Chicagoland area and central Illinois. Groups are generally open to anyone who is parenting, such as biological parents, grandparents raising their grandchildren, single parents, stepparents, foster parents, other relative or nonrelative caregivers, or parents who do not have custody.
