Are you a linguistic guru? Effective communication is vital during a time of crisis. Volunteer translators (foreign languages and American Sign Language) are needed at a Point of Dispensing (POD). Volunteers identify clients with language barriers and provide critical information and direction through the POD. Each POD throughout Comal County is a physical site where life-saving medications or antidotes will be distributed in the event of a disease pandemic or accidental/intentional release of a toxic agent.

Comal County Public Health is a government agency which provides immunizations, public information and education, and will establish points of distribution for medication in the event of a public health emergency such as a disease pandemic or release of a toxic substance.
