Do you like to train others? Do you excel in sharing vital information? We need you to share your multi-tasking talents at a Point of Dispensing (POD) site. Volunteers conduct client orientation, maintain records at the site, ensure POD staff has badges, maintain client confidentiality and proper completion of forms.
Volunteers will assist at PODS, or Points of Dispensing, to distribute life-saving medication in the event of a public health emergency. Volunteer duties include setting up equipment, traffic control, documentation, screening, dispensing medication, organization, and providing information and education. Depending on the scope of the crisis, several POD sites can be established in Comal County during an emergency. Volunteers will be asked to attend at least one orientation and one training exercise each year and will receive regular updates and opportiunities for continuing education.
