Middle school youth are in need caring and responsible adult volunteers, age 55+, to inspire and enable them to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

Volunteers will expose youth to educational opportunities and, provide resources and guidance to reach the goals set as a part of their individualized career plan. Volunteer shares career clusters with youth through various forms and activities to foster greater awareness of the careers available.

Description

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for individuals age 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers choose when, where and how long they would like to serve at schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while they serve. There is a pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
