At Friday’s Kids Respite, we strive to strengthen families of children with special needs by providing quality respite care. Respite care is the temporary care of children with special needs, providing a short period of rest or relief to their usual caregivers. Families of children with special needs desperately need time to themselves to relieve stress, renew energy, and restore balance. Unfortunately, many families lack the support and financial resources necessary to get the breaks they need. Due to this, respite remains one the most requested services of families of children with special needs, but remains in critical short supply.
