30 minutes per week with a pet or animal is all it takes to make a difference in the life of a child at Orchard Place. Many children living on our campus are dealing with the loss of a pet, or have a pet who lives several hours away. You and your certified pet therapy animal can bring comfort and companionship to our children while teaching them responsibility and kindness towards animals.

Description
Orchard Place, a premier provider of children’s mental health and behavioral services, has served Iowa’s children since 1886. Orchard Place works with many of the state’s most emotionally troubled children, providing inpatient, outpatient and community-based services by highly skilled child therapists and caseworkers in an effort to help children develop strong futures.
