City Vision Internships is a Christian one-year, multi-year or summer internship program based on the AmeriCorps model. Interns serve at one of over 40 positions across the USA and Canada. In the past 10 years, we have placed over 500 full-time interns and 68,000 volunteers in hundreds of Christian ministries. Youth Ministry Intern : Intern will be involved in all aspects of inner-city missions as it relates to and from the Children's Activity Truck which is a model taken from Metro Ministries New York City. The Children's Activity Truck or CAT provides inner-city kids and their families living in inner-city apartment projects an exciting and powerful after-school church without walls. The method is simple making the ministry a place kids want to be utilizing games, skits, prizes, contests and powerful object lessons, videos, puppets and stories to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The interns will learn and be trained in all aspects of this ministry and will be given the opportunity to interact with the kids and their families through in home visitations done on a weekly basis by our staff and volunteers. They will learn how to actively share their faith and be involved in other helps partnerships to express the Love of Jesus Christ to the lost. Interns will be involved in day camps both locally and in rural locations and settings. On an annual basis about 3000 inner-city kids are bused to a partner ministry called the Gospel Lakes Camp. There they will learn how to lead small groups and work with other volunteers from other ministries. The interns will have on going Biblical instruction along with small group discussions and prayer meetings on a daily basis and have cleaning and house responsibilities as well. All interns will be actively managed and expected to maintain behavior and a Godly and Christ-centered manner and will keep notes and a prayer journal.
