Help save a life. Become an American Cancer Society Road to Recovery program Volunteer Coordinator.

Every day thousands of cancer patients need a ride to a medical facility for treatment. The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery free program assists patients and their caregivers with these transportation needs. You can help save a life by volunteering your time as a Road to Recovery Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer drivers in the Road To Recovery program help patients get to the lifesaving treatment they need. Volunteer drivers donate their time and vehicles to take patients to and from treatment appointments. They also provide encouragement and support.

Coordinate these rides for cancer patients Volunteer Coordinators are the backbone of Road to Recovery, helping schedule these much-needed rides.

You can work online whenever it’s convenient for you. All it takes is a computer with internet access, a few hours a week of your time, and organizational and communication skills to make a major impact on the well-being of cancer patients in your community.

Bilingual coordinators are especially needed, particularly Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Vietnamese speakers.

To learn more about becoming a volunteer for Road To Recovery, other Society programs, free patient services or the latest cancer information, call 1800-227-2345 or email brittney.neal@cancer.org
