COMPASSIONATE CARE HOSPICE IS LOOKING FOR ORDINARY PEOPLE TO DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS!

Compassionate Care Hospice provides comfort care for persons in the final stages of life. We are a community based organization committed to providing the highest quality of hospice care to patients and their families.

Volunteers play an important role in the hospice program. The support they provide to patients and their families helps enhance the patient's QUALITY OF LIFE and gives RELIEF to their caregivers.

Volunteers and their pets are needed to provide companionship and outreach to hospice patients. If you have a calm, gentle dog or cat that you think would be a great pet therapy animal, please think about outreaching to hospice patients.

Pet therapy volunteers make visits to nursing homes and homes to provide a little extra TLC to our patients and families.

We service all of New Castle County, Delaware.

Training is required for pet therapy and hospice visiting. If you are interested in learning more about our program and the training needed, p lease contact us via phone (302-993-9090) or email

We foster genuine personal connections that offer emotional, psychological and spiritual support - taking an active role in the interests that bring joy.

For patients, we work specifically to help you achieve your personal goals and to bring joy, comfort, and fulfillment into every moment possible. Patients on our service may continue current treatments, especially those focused on improving quality of life.
