SECU Family House is looking for volunteers that would be willing to perform basic handyman tasks for us, including HVAC cleaning, general plumbing, lawn care and painting on a regular schedule. Some examples of specific jobs might be:
Touching up paint in common areas as well as guest rooms, weed in plant beds, repair drywall, complete preventative maintenance checklist’s for rooms and public areas and making general repairs.More opportunities with SECU Family House

Mission Statement
The SECU Family House on the Richard J. Reynolds, III & Marie M. Reynolds Campus provides affordable lodging in a caring environment for referred adult patients and/or their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for medical treatment.
Description
The SECU Family House is a caring and compassionate alternative to sleeping in a waiting room or an expensive hotel when faced with an out-of-town medical crisis. The Family House offers an affordable place to stay, support from staff and volunteers, and an array of ammenities to help caregivers and patients get through their medical crisis. Volunteers help make the Family House "more than just a place to stay."
COVID-19 UPDATE as of 5/22/20:
The SECU Family is currently reopened for guests.
Volunteers: In order to limit the number of people coming in and out of the house, all on-site volunteering is still suspended. At this time, we are not accepting homemade baked goods. We will update our volunteer opportunities with time.
