The Concho Valley Rape Crisis Center needs you! We need Volunteer Advocates to answer a 24-hour hotline and meet with sexual assault victims at the emergency room.
This is great experience for psychology, social work, criminal justice, education and any other student who wants to go into the helping profession.
Our 40 hour training involves education about sexual assault, discussions with representatives of various areas of the community such as law enforcement and child protective services, self-defense training, a visit to the ER with a SANE nurse, and much more!
Volunteers need to fill out an application, schedule an interview and then go through the 40 hour training to become a part of our team. Please visit our website at http://cv-rcc.org or call us at 655-2000.

Description
Open Arms provides advocacy and support to victims of crime and their loved ones. The following services are offered free of charge: 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, Individual and Group Support, Counseling, Information/Referrals, Medical/Court Accompaniment, Technical Assistance and Follow-Up. We also provide education and prevention programs to the community as well as support and advocacy to the LGBT+ community.
