Catholic Charities, Guadalupe Community Center After School & Summer Youth Program is in need of dynamic volunteers for children in grades K-12. The program is completely free for all participants.
We need is dedicated, caring, and creative volunteers to help us make this a success!
We need volunteers to help the children with:
- Homework help and tutoring to youth,
- Help us think of and implement fun activities
- Help us supervise youth
- Melp provide positive and meaningful relationships with youth
- Assist in implementing the Kid’s Cafe program (a program of the SA Food Bank)
Time Commitment: Constitent Schedule Please! We are building relationships here!
Monday - Friday from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. during the school year,
The program is held on the Westside of San Antonio, 78207 at the Guadalupe Community Center (1801 W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd.)
Volunteers must fill out a volunteer application including a criminal background check.
This is an ongoing opportunity to engage youth of San Antonio to help them succeed in school and provide them a positive environment. We need your help to provide this program to students.
What sets this program apart from other after school programs? It is completely free for the children attending and we provide transportation. No other After School Program in San Antonio operates this way.

We provide over 25 bilingual and culturally sensitive programs in 19 counties throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio that empower individuals and families in our community to become self-sufficient.
Within the past few years Catholic Charities has expanded it services to the community by bringing other organizations under its umbrella, including Senior Community Services in 1999, Catholic Counseling & Consultation Center and Guadalupe Home in 2001, San Antonio Birth Doulas in 2005, and Guadalupe Community Center in 2006.
