Only about 1/3 of 4th graders in the state of Ohio are reading at grade level. The others are reading below and need some extra help. Only 1 or 2 days per week. Usually 1 to 2 hours per day. Schools in Ashland, Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Richland and Seneca counties are in need of your help! The grades to be helped with vary depending on the school. Make the Difference in a Child's life. You do not need a college degree to help.

Use the Experience of a Lifetime to Make a Difference in Your Community!

With the belief that one person can make a difference, RSVP matches people who are 55 and better with volunteer opportunities that meet their individual interests, skills and schedules. Volunteers use their lifelong knowledge and abilities to positively impact individuals in our community through their service to more than 100 non-profit organizations and government agencies throughout Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot Counties. Assignments can be on a regular weekly or monthly basis or can be short-term or even one-day events. Added benefits include supplemental automobile liability, life and medical insurance at no cost to the volunteer - in place when the volunteer is serving; annual recognition events; newsletters and volunteer meetings.
