Are you a working nurse, or an unemployed/underemployed, retired, or non-practicing nurse in need of practice hours? Swedish Medical Center has a unique opportunity for you to get active practice hours and use your skills and experience to support a new generation of nurses! As a volunteer RN you will take a hands-on role in the operations of our state of the art Simulation Learning Lab, helping to set up and break down scenarios, manage the vast inventory, provide clerical and administrative support, and perform a variety of other tasks to keep the Sim Lab running smoothly. Swedish's RN Residents utilize the Sim Lab to enact high-risk, low-occurance scenarios that help improve their skills and confidence. Your role in helping to run the Sim Lab is a key component of it's sucess.This exciting program is open to licensed nurses with three or more years of experience in any of the following areas: Medical/Surgical, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, or Postpartum. You must be able to make a minimum commitment of four hours per week for six consecutive months, and be available for a weekday morning or afternoon shift. We are looking for positive volunteers who are passionate about nursing and eager to support our Sim Lab!
