Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center serves over 49,000 meals each year to seniors in the community. Many of these meals are through our Congregate Meal program, which serves lunch at an affordable rate to seniors, at the Center.
We are in need of several dedicated volunteers to cashier during the lunch period (11:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday). Cashiers receive a free lunch each time they volunteer.
Cashiers should be comfortable cash handling, interacting with seniors and staff, and doing light paperwork to tally how many lunches are served per day.
This opportunity is ideal for those who are retired, have a flexible schedule, or are free during daytime operating hours.
