Join us Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. for the Volunteer Program's Open House!
Our Open House is a great opportunity to learn more about the Volunteer Program, whether you are an experienced Santa Clara County Parks & Recreation volunteer or you are interested in becoming one!
This event will include:
- An overview of the volunteer program and current volunteer opportunities,
- A chance to meet volunteer program staff and other volunteers,
- A tour of our new facility, the Muriel Wright Center,
- And an opportunity to confirm your volunteer records and learn how to enter your hours online.
All are welcome, but please RSVP to volunteer@prk.sccgov.org or 408-918-4930 so we know how many to expect.
The Muriel Wright Center is located within Santa Teresa County Park, at 298 Bernal Rd in San Jose.

The mission of the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department is to provide, protect and preserve regional parklands for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of this and future generations.
Description
Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
Become a County Parks Volunteer and see how you can play an important role in protecting and enhancing our parklands. What's more, our volunteer events are fun -- come join us to "Go Outside and Play!"
