Join Center in the Park (CIP) volunteers, staff and members as we bag food items for SHARE Food Program. The SHARE Food Program is a non-profit organization serving a regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution. Some lifting and bending may be involved. Many people in our communities are dealing with hunger on a daily basis, but do not mention it to family or friends. Help us make a difference in their lives.
Become a part of our CIP team on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. We will meet at 2901 Hunting Park Ave. Phila. Children and adults of all ages are welcome. Give something back! Call us at 215-848-7722 if you are interested or email Dianne B. Tucker: dtucker@centerinthepark.org

Center in the Park promotes positive aging and fosters community connections for older adults whose voices are critical instruments in shaping its activities and direction.
Description
Center in the Park located in historic Vernon Park,is accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers -a unit of the National Council on Aging. The Center provides quality programs, services and activities for its active membership of more than 5,000 older adults including 1,000 homebound consumers who are aged 55+.
Center in the Park, offers services, classes, activities, trips, health and wellness programs and screenings, congregate meals, transportation, social services, housing counseling, and Ombudsman Services as well as several intergenerational programs, a Senior Environment Corps and several exercise classes, line dancing and art classes. The Center is also an Neighborhood Energy Center. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. www.centerinthepark.orginfo@centerinthepark.org
