Empower children to believe in their future and invest in their dreams.

Junior Achievement needs your help teaching and inspiring students to succeed in the economy today. JA offers volunteer-led programs for students in kindergarten through high school to provide them with hands-on learning experiences and invaluable role models. By sharing your personal and professional experiences and skills with Junior Achievement students from your community, you help them make the connection between what they are learning in school and what they will need to succeed in work and life.

Bridgeport Volunteer Needs

School: Bassick High School

Time: January 2014

Volunteers Needed: 5

JA Program: 5-7 Lessons delivered once per week in classroom. Approx. 45 mins per lesson

School: Bridgeport Military Academy

Time: Jan 15-May 17 Wednesdays & Thursdays 3:30-5:00pm

Volunteers Needed: 8

Grade: 9th

JA Program Commitment: 2 Lessons per week. 16 weeks. Approx. 45 mins per lesson

School: Columbus

Time: April 4 th 2014

Volunteers Needed: 8

Grade: Kindergarten to 2 nd

JA Program Commitment: 5-6 lessons taught back-to-back over the course of one school day (9am - 2 pm)

School: Curiale

Time: Feb-May 2014

Volunteers Needed: 15

Grade: 6th- 8th

JA Program Commitment: 5-7 Lessons delivered once per week in classroom. Approx. 45 mins per lesson

School: Geraldine Johnson

Time: March 27 th, 2014

Volunteers Needed: 5

Grade: K-5

JA Program Commitment: 5 lessons taught back-to-back over the course of one school day (9 am-2 pm)

School: Park City Prep After-school

Time: Jan-May 2014 Thursdays 4:15-5:15pm

Volunteers Needed: 3

Grade: 7 th-8 th

JA Program Commitment: 24 lessons taught once per week Dec-May Approx. 60 mins per lesson

School: Ludlowe High School

Time: Jan-May 2014

Volunteers Needed:

Grade: High School

JA Program Commitment: 7-12 Lessons delivered once per week in classroom Approx. 45 mins per lesson
