The Sponsorship Chair works with the Community Outreach Events Manager or Specialist, other Headquarters staff and affiliate volunteers to prospect, cultivate and steward corporate supporters to benefit affiliate fundraising events. Collaborating with Headquarters and the affiliate to set corporate outreach goals, build a prospect pipeline and solicit corporate prospects for fundraising events. This can include sponsorships, company teams, the Honorary Chair program and other corporate opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Tracking corporate relationships and contact information.
- Ensuring that sponsors and company teams receive all their benefits and top notch customer service.
- Stewarding corporate relationships all year long!
- Collaborating with Headquarters staff and the core volunteer leadership teamto set goals and timelines for the affiliate's "Annual Plan"and review updates with the Regional Affiliate Manager.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
Description
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s unique volunteer program is made up of nearly 60 affiliates and more than 30 community representatives that represent the organization in their local communities.
With guidance from Pancreatic Cancer Action Network staff, local affiliates are led by a core volunteer leadership team that includes an Affiliate Coordinator, Education & Outreach Coordinator, Advocacy Coordinator, Media Representative and Event Coordinator. Beyond this core volunteer leadership team, other volunteers are encouraged to join committees supporting each core area to help carry out the organization’s mission at the local level. Separate from affiliates, community representatives are located in target areas identified by Headquarters and focus on creating awareness in their local community, while engaging in outreach to healthcare professionals, elected officials and the local media on behalf of
the organization.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network staff provides one-on-one guidance and support to all of volunteer leaders and offers many resources and tools to aid volunteers in their efforts to further the organization’s mission.
