Hi! I am currently searching for a volunteer with an interest in the arts to assist in my art studio at Void Projects in downtown Miami and home studio in Miami Beach. Excellent opportunity to work with/learn from a professional artist. As a disabled artist certain tasks requiring fine motor skills prove to be difficult and having a helping hand from time to time is incredibly useful. Come grow as an artist, be exposed to adaptive techniques, and make valuable connections in the art world!
Duties: Prepare surfaces (sand, base coat of paint), Apply varnish to finished works, Hang Artwork, Wash Brushes, Organize works pace. Studio is located at Void Projects in downtown Miami and occasionally in my home studio in Miami Beach. Rise Up Gallery, a non profit organization based in Miami which provides pro bono art therapy workshops to the community. Rise Up is a 100% volunteer based organization and is funded entirely through grants, private donations, and the sale of artwork.
